please...i've been unable to read any for months and i really dont like this book. *cries*

I am STRUGGLING to get through this book. It's not bad, in fact its very well written, but I'm just so bored and dislike every character. I'll eventually finish because I have high hopes for the rest of the series...

Someone needs to study why reading about a raging toxic misogynist makes me angrier than reading about the literal psychopath.

Since I wont be able to buy the second book in the series for another month, I'm trying to take my time with this one so I don't finish it too quickly!

Finally tackle the Liveship Traders!

Uhhh... hmm :/ a bit disappointed currently... We were great up until this last chapter. Lets see how the remaining 137 pages go, i'm expecting awful things to start happening to Fitz and for shit to go to shit. That would be on par to the last two books. But also *SPOILER* the dragon stuff currently happening, not at all what I was expecting and I think my idea was better.

Ugghhhhhhhh 🤮 I’m not even done and I wish I was reading this trilogy for the first time.

If this is people's least favorite trilogy from the series then I CANNOT wait to read on.

I've never hated a character more than I hate this f***in b*tch.

I thought this was going to be more profound that it actually is.

I am so close to being done but it has to be put on hold until I can get the third book so I can binge straight into the next book!

I don't read YA anymore so I'm shocked I'm as into this as I am. However, it would have been better if not YA or marketed as YA.

Interested to see how or if the writing changes as Fitz gets older. So far its been good and intriguing.

Fantastic so far, excited to read on, but very concerned I'll stop liking it as that does tend to happen to me. I want to like this so bad, I want to be sucked into a new fantasy series that will consume my every waking thought for the next few weeks. Pray for me

Stopping mid read to binge read the Captive Prince trilogy was a mistake because now I'm finding myself bored. I WILL finish the book this month tho >:(

So convenient for two kings, on the edge of war fighting for their respective thrones, to keep finding time to f**k each other :')

And with that being said, I'm surprised at myself that what I'm liking the least is the romance.

I liked the book when I read it as a teenager, even if a lot of it went over my head at the time. I'm only 34 pages in so far and have to say I don't understand the hate this book gets. I'm finding it so delightfully identifiable. Maybe if you hate the book it's because you can't identify with Holden.

Okay okay, this has definitely kicked in to a different gear and I am here for it.

I had to go ahead and spoil the end for myself; I was disappointed. I have so many thoughts about this series, like how it could have been done better, and how I actually loved the setting and now want more urban fantasies set in the South that are fun and not deep, but better done than this series. Any recs?
