Russia,, Russia, Russia. Why is Trump always the bad guy in Schneier's examples about politics? Schneier has to do something to prove he doesn't just have a malignant case of bitter TDS.

Good topic and good subject matter so far but Schneier's politics suck.

And they should have used "DZ", "JA", "JZ" for the three primary speakers, to differentiate from all the other players going on the record. That wouldn't have been rocket science. It would have made it a lot clearer and easier to read.

They need to start putting "(job title)" before people's first names and "(last name)" after. It's too many people for anyone to remember all of them by their first names just because they were introduced once. Come on, help a brother out!

Peter Z. is 15% done with The Blues Brothers: An Epic Friendship, the Rise of Improv, and the Making of an American Film Classic
But for the time, Belushi and I might've crossed paths.

Still riveting.

Peter Z. is finished with Daddy Was a Number Runner
Much more on the life and environs of a young New Yorker in poverty, than on the numbers game. The editor's note tries to cast it as a feminist story but there was a bit of stretching to that. Overall I wish it was more about Daddy and what he did as a number runner. Unfortunately Daddy was mostly absent and of what we do learn about the numbers game, not much comes directly from the protagonist first-hand.
