sort of wild to realize I'd never marked this as read on my goodreads, which means I haven't read this in at least eight years goddamn

finished the first book and immediately borrowed this one from my library to keep reading hgsdghsdgh

not very far into this yet but i'm having a great time <3 romcoms are sort of all i have the attention span to read for fun right now (which I only have time to do when i'm ignoring the readings i should be doing for school but shhhh)

idk if i'm gonna make it through this one, i survived my test on it and maybe i do not have it in me to read another however many pages of racism crusoe being unbearable when i do not have a test on this shit

this is not like...... all that good or particularly interesting. however. the last book I had to read for class took me almost a week to read 70 pages and this one I've gotten through 50 in an evening. so comparatively I don't hate it 🤪

I understand that this was probably relatively progressive for it's time but dear god the racism makes me want to gouge my eyes out
