so far it’s a much slower pace than the women is. making me realize the different way that this war presented itself. americans was way more boot in ground but only for soldiers we’ve never been invaded or lived in a fear of our homes and belongings being removed from our possessions. it’s also hard to read bc if they’re in france, i’m reading in english. so it feels less authentic that might change though

literally cannot put it down.

so far a very interesting and quick read. i rarely enjoy books that switch tense or characters, because it often feels like a lazy way to get different perspectives. but with this book, i’ve enjoyed the different points of view and light suspense. i love the setting of this book took - makes me want to book a trip.

so far keeping me on the edge ready to figure out of this man is really a creep
