This is the second book in the series and the first HOUR of the audiobook is just explaining what happened last book 😴

The decision to give Apollo a southern accent from the audiobook narrator is certainly a choice!

I’m worried half my problem with this book is that I’ve read Jane Eyre and am familiar with the Brontë’s, which isn’t great when the point is parody.

This is both amazing and a string of pinterest quotes strung together.

trying to get through this book before my hold at the library runs out might be the death of my brain it burns it burns (i am having an amazing time with this so far)

like the characters more than in the first but god the plot is so so dumb im in pain

i have made a severe and continuous lapse in judgement….

i had two hours left in the book and my hold ran out. my new hold is for 18 weeks 😀

oh so i WILL be crying over the next 50 pages cool

The first section of this book was pretty overwhelming with numbers and equations that I understood the meaning of (I will say mostly from formal classes taken previously), but was understandably confused about the sheer length of. My ability to care was definitely stretched, but in the last few chapters we have veered to a place I am much more comfortable with.

i fear the two star reviews are correct… this book really really wants to be clever and i’m so disappointed.
the first book in this series remains one of my favorites of all time but i’m just going to have to pretend it was a stand alone…

this book is sooo america centric i am in physical pain. so far the author doesn’t seem to understand that other cultures do things differently and that’s okay like everything is a shocking twist for her
