I can already tell this is going to be a 5 star book (save any drastic change in prose). Von Rezzori writes in such a nice prose that you can forgive him for using uncommon words that you don't know the meaning of. I am still on the chapter-or portrait- of Cassandra and will say that she sounds like one of those special people that you only meet a handful in your lifetime.
