Strange… this kinda reads as a stand-alone? A lot of it is repetitive canon? Also obviously not the same narrator speaking as the original series, but the language itself doesn’t hit quite the same as the original books… it’s actually serving YA whereas 1-3 were more… atmospheric maybe?
