It’s fine! The fact that he doesn’t know what neural networks are / is greatly exaggerating with ML algorithms actually look like in practice is really taking me out of it 😭😭 but alas I do agree with the broader point he’s making so it doesn’t really matter but it also makes me wonder what else is he mischaracterizing yk

I do like the parallel he draws between engineers building systems so complex that the individual decisions being made aren’t understood and financial engineers in the 90s/2000s using algorithms to create derivatives so complex that they didn’t know what was inside them
