Brynn, or rather Jovie, set off to find Ackers home land after acker and jovie have a chance encounter. Jovie has been gone for years due to a kidnapping by the alaha people. Kai was thought to be her betrothed but she soon finds out acker is her match… just guessing at that on page 228 😉
