It's Stephen King, so there is some weird sexual shit that doesn't really make sense for the situation. He does a good job in endearing certain characters to the reader, which is impressive in a book about boys walking and talking and not doing much else.
I'm listening to the audiobook on spotify. I haven't used my listening hours for the month, so why not listen to this before the movie drops? I'm only 45% through, but I'd say if you have spotify premium and haven't used your audiobook hours yet, choosing this book wouldn't be a bad idea. Although, knowing King, let me get back to you once I've listened to the ending.
