The ongoing denials by Turkish authorities (and in my experience by the average mis-educated and chauvinistic citizen) and the thorough “cleansing” of the archives over many years (as documented by a few brave Turkish historians) speak for themselves about the terrible power of superiority complex, resentment, shame and self-deception to triumph over truth and basic human decency.
