thank you!! tbh i will probably never read choices just because of how emotionally taxing i've heard it is, i have read kill your darlings by the same author though and it was very good!! we're on the same wavelength with the never crying for books thing lmao, i usually only cry at books when i'm already in an extremely fragile state mentally/very sleep-deprived 😭

I need to read Kill Your Darlings soon. Choices in honestly prob my fav fanfic atm simply BECAUSE of how emotionally taxing it is lol. (Ironically, while I don't really ship Jegulus in canon, the canon-compliant fics are still my fav for them? 🤷‍♀️)

yeahh that's fair enough, i love soul-crushing fanfics too. ahh that's funny, i don't really ship jegulus in canon either (when defending it i've always said i know it makes no sense and they probably didn't even interact much but the fanon interpretations are amazing) but you're right about the canon-compliant fics being so good! do you have any recs?

Also, another Jegulus fic I love (not canon-compliant tho) is Wasps in Winter by otrtbs. It's sad tho.

so true!! honestly i'm guilty of this too, i write fics sometimes and i love throwing in an offhanded comment about regulus drowning in something or feeling like he's drowning/some variation of that lmao

don't we all 😞 i have like 10 different WIPs at the moment and i abandon them as soon as i have another idea, it's a problem

I've been trying to focus on my one WIP (although I have so many old ones, at least one of which I want to come back to at some point). Lately I've been writing like 100-300 words a day, so slow going. I'm not very far in, but hopefully this one sticks lol.

good luck!! 100-300 words a day is much more consistent than many people so i applaud you for that 👏🏼 (also i'd be happy to read anything you wrote if you ever wanted to share it, just an offer though)

Yeah, true. There was a time I was writing more, but I've completely abandoned that series, and the entire genre, alas.

I shall keep that in mind.
