The unexpected brutality of this book has me speechless. I can’t put it down. I haven’t been this emotionally invested in a network of characters all year long. ML Wang knew what she was doing with the slow burn setup that blows the reader’s mind when she flips the switch without warning or preamble. Wow. Read this one.
