maybe its because i waited so long but im not really getting the whole 'soulmates who try to kill each other' or 'inextricably bound but the love bled into hate' or the whole tragically co-obsessed vibe every attributes this book

Eli and Victor weren't friends for most of the book so it doesn't hit that hard
