Respect to Ambrose of Milan 🫡 today I learned that when the state was trying to canonize Arianism, Ambrose was like “ermm, actually, Matthew 22:21 ☝🏻🤓” cool stuff

Clement of Alexandria… cool guy! I’ve never heard of the concept of cultural preparative grace… or at least the language for it. Cool idea.

Also the spread of Gnosticism was a large reason the church organized. Cool!
