I was also taken by surprise by cottagecore! Read K.E. Andrews- Hills of Heather and Bone and whilst slightly out off the cartoonish cover (personal taste, can't stand em) the story was excellent 👌

I’ll check it out, thanks Liis! I’d scroll on by a cartoonish cover as well, they don’t appeal to me either, judging books by their covers is something I need to get over 🤪
