James mentions at one point that he’d never read any fiction books but then he meets cunegonde in a dream, but cunegonde is from Voltaire’s work of fiction “Candide”, and James doesn’t read Candide between saying that he’s never read fiction and dreaming about meeting cunegonde. Book sucks.
