It's so endearing how the one character refers to everything as being said in "American" or in "Foreign". I'm almost finished with the book and it is still making me giggle every time.

This really is a great book - I particularly like his writing style and word choice in this one. I keep cracking up at "dame" and "dollface" but my favorite is speaking "American" and "Foreign". I love this kind of humor. That being said, I was so blown away by Hell of a Book, that now I just keep comparing - and that one was just so good.

It's really great writing. In the beginning, I was struck by his playful use of words, but now he's really pulling at my heart. It's the fucking guns.

I have never heard of this author before, but he reads like one of my favorites: Percival Everett. Same smart, funny, sometimes absurd writing style that makes me laugh out loud. I'm really enjoying this.
