“Okay,” Travis says quietly.
“Just one last time,” Carter whispers.
Travis nods, pressing a kiss to Carter’s messy hair. “One last time.”
They both know it’s a lie.

Carter has to tilt his head to see what Nathan drew. When he realizes what it is, his breath catches in his throat.
He drew Carter. He drew him sleeping in the bed, face pressed against the pillow, lips slightly parted, a lock of hair falling onto his forehead. The blankets are pushed down and tangled in his legs. One hand is curled on the mattress, like he’s reaching for something. Or someone.

Carter takes a drink. It’s strong, but good. Really fucking good. He offers the bottle to Nathan. He takes it with a warm smile, bringing it to his lips. Carter has never been so jealous of a bottle.
Nathan hands the bottle back and Carter immediately takes another drink. It has absolutely nothing to do with the way he wishes he could feel Nathan’s lips against his own.
