To quote Elf - “I’M IN LOVE! I’M IN LOVE! AND I DON’T CARE WHO KNOWS IT!”

Ugh I immediately ordered books2&3 because this is ending way too quickly and I am NOT prepared for it!!

“In which Howl Goes to a Funeral in Disguise.”
The scene of Howl in the enormous blue and silver suit is the most fantastically hilarious thing I’ve ever read 😂

I kept wondering why people said the book was different than the cartoon and then it hits… I see now, but it’s still SO good!!

And Howl’s bedroom window looks down into his sister’s back yard, where he watches his niece?!?!?! *sobs harder*

I think I like the idea that everybody has a little bit of magic in them, whether they know or accept it or not.

HOWL HAS A FAMILY?!?!?! HIS NAME IS HOWELL?!?! *SOBS*

Will forever be sad that I didn’t come up with the name “Seven-League Boots” best thing ever honestly.

“I got seven league boots
I can get there faster” ~ Mattering Ram by Penny & Sparrow, gosh dang it I just want another artist to use my words as inspiration *sobs at the beauty of it*

Gordon Be warned that Castle in the Air is not a sequel. It's another book set in the same world where, if you're patient, you get to meet some familiar characters eventually. It's still a very fun book, just don't be expecting more of the same.

Jordan Comeaux Oh man, this is disappointing! Thanks for the heads up! Hoping I’ll still enjoy it!

Gordon I'm sure you will. I enjoyed all of DWJ's all age books (the few aimed at adults are a bit odd for my taste) but Castle in the Air is good. I must not give spoilers.

If you really want more Howl 😏 I might also recommend Spindle by W. R. Gingell, which is a pretty good homage while still being its own thing.

Jordan Comeaux Haha well thank you, I’m definitely going to give them a try anyways, even if Howl isn’t there… sadness.
And yes, no spoilers here !!

Ah! I do! That author’s been on my “Watch list” for a while now, already added Spindle to my to be read! Thanks for the recommendation!
