We're steaming rapidly toward the end of the year, my friends. What has been your favorite read of the year so far?

A tie between "The Tainted Cup" by Robert Jackson Bennett and "To Clutch a Razor" by Veronica Roth :)

I just finished Silver in the Wood, by Emily Tesh, and Comfort Me with Apples, by Catheryne M. Valente. Both quick reads, both quite different, and both incredibly good.
It's a toss up between Daughter of the Empire, Servant of the Empire, and Mistress of the Empire. All 3 great books by Raymond E. Feist.
i had such a good reading year but i’ll say…the silmarillion (jrrt), the goblin emperor (katherine addison), and the orphan tales (catheryne m. valente) all sooooo amazing!

Probably The Last House on Needless Street. Great horror and a proper mind bender. (No relation to Dr. Mindbender.)
Paul wrote: "Probably The Last House on Needless Street. Great horror and a proper mind bender. My favourite read has been reading my Goodreads friends' comments ;) As for books, I've had some eye-opening reads this year, and I'm hoping the best is yet to come during the remainder of this momentous year.

Paul wrote: "You might get an argument on that but not from me."Because you smartly know it would be a losing argument.
But I'm still reading!!! LOL AS of right now, The Sheperd King Duology by Rachel Gillig is hard to beat. Was just so good, creative, and original. Close second is Black Hole Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse. Just a crazy, brutal tale.
For comic books, I gotta go with the recent quadfecta (word?) of horror/sci-fi comics I read in Cap Wolf & the Howling Commandos, Predator vs Spider-Man, Aliens vs Avengers, and Batman Full Moon.
