Der Film war überraschend gut, weswegen ich dem Buch mal eine Chance gebe, auch wenn ich vor Bestsellern eher zurückschrecke.
Aber ich merke jetzt schon, dass es sehr vorteilhaft ist, NICHT im Kopf der Protagonistin zu stecken, weil sie im Film so wesentlich neutraler wirkt. Im Buch ist sie hingegen wirklich frauenverachtend und naiv wie ein Lamm. Das ständige Fatshaming ist aber echt ekelerregend. War im Film nicht.

The movie's really better than the book, and I don't think I'll read any other books about Millie again. She's just not that interesting, and while Nina and Andy were an interesting case of domestic violence, I don't want to read the same story over and over again.
It's a pity the abuser didn't suffer as much as he did here. It's more exciting in the movie, but way more satisfactory in the book.

Im Buch hat das Ganze mehr Zeit umfasst und ging nicht so Schlag auf Schlag - das ist für mich auch realistischer und dadurch der (vorhersehbare) Twist besser gelöst.
Also das wird allem Anschein nach ein sehr klarer Fall von ,Film ist besser als das Buch', einfach weil sowohl Millie als auch Nina im Buch strohdumm sind und man im Film ihre Gedanken nicht hört XD
