Didn't love it as much as her memoir, but McCurdy's writing style is so true and cynical and gut-wrenching <3 Perhaps it even has to many themes to talk about all of them equally well, but consumerism and female rage are definetely the biggest. The grooming part was the most controversial, though. Waldo isn't a typical victim, and Mr. Korgy isn't a typical offender. Very daring and honest!

Loved McCurdy's memoir and was highly anticipating her first fictional novel :3
Her writing is stunning and poignant as always, but I can't stop wondering why everything concerning eating and sex ist written so DISGUSTINGLY. Sure, it's about a teacher and a minor, this is supposed to be disgusting, but why do I have to gag from the description on how Waldo (what kind of name is that, btw) is eating Sour Patch Kids?!
