I'm in such a strange spot to watch my students go through the horrifying, heartbreaking realization that this case really and truly was lost from the very beginning. It's so interesting to see their reactions as they each read that chapter one by one.

BECAUSE THEY ARE CHILDREN AND CHILDREN ARE CURIOUS AND IF WE HAD THIS BOOK THROUGH ATTICUS' PERSPECTIVE IT WOULD BE SO DRY AND CLEAR WHAT WAS HAPPENING. USE THE INFERENCE SKILLS WE HAVE BEEN BUILDING FOR MONTHS.
