Sometimes I feel like this book reads like a children’s novel. Then something romantic will happen and I’ll be reminded it’s definitely an adult book but I think the third person pov is what is making it feel like a children’s book? It feels like dumbed down writing. Does that make sense? Don’t get me wrong, I’m enjoying the story but something feels off about it.
