This story is suffering from Moby Dick pacing; however, where as Moby Dick made sense, this one gives stories as needed seconds before it gets used. It also is trying too hard for gross-out.

Really hard to keep listening to gross-out. Not in “I’m scared” hard but more “How the hell does an arm feel like an oily slug?”

The scout master is infected now. Feels weird that there’s so much “marketing” language. I can understand making the reader feel more connected with the story; however, this feels like too much.
