It's so fucked up that at the memorial she was assaulted ( cos she was- dude tried to touch her butt) then Anson tried to blackmail her. Tell him her story so that he can get a job at the NY times, maybe. He found out who she is. Hadn't told. So she did it herself, after telling the detective about his drug selling. He was pissed.

This book is really hard. The concept is interesting- what happens to the families of serial killers? Noami was 11. Rescued Ashley. The father was a zealot and bastard. She has a younger bro, Mason, and a mother who could not deal. ( and wouldn't). She has an uncle Seth. He was estranged cos of homophobia. But he came and took them. He had a partner, Harry. POC. She was surprised to see a non white person. Jfc.
