It’s been a while since I’ve not been able to book like this. I really love the writing style and I’m getting vibes that remind me of babel. I also love the short chapters and the letter exchange. Harrowing.

May’s read for Noname’s Book Club. Loads of themes of patriotism, patriarchy, propaganda and religion. It’s been a long time since I’ve read a book centred around totalitarianism, I’m curious to see where the story takes us.

I really enjoy the writing style, although find it interesting how translations might affect perceptions as the original copy is in French
