You know, it's funny, because I started it a year or so ago and it just felt so difficult - and I went into it this time and it's flowing like a breeze and delivering such richness. Still not light reading but I'm really really enjoying it...as I settle down for 800 more pages :)
I found that I got really stuck somewhere in the middle (around 500 or so?) but that it really paid off in the end...
ah, good to know. It feels like Tolstoy so far - a British Tolstoy more concerned with women and societal behaviours than war...
