I've never read poetry so out there. Sometimes that's what's good about this collection and sometimes that's extremely frustrating. I identified with and understood the political poems the most, and I liked the combination of politics and nature in these poems. They're very of the moment. They're very meta. But they're not really my personal taste. This is probably a 3.5 stars for me.

I want to connect to these poems. And I do when they're political, when they're poems about poems, when they're not too...non-linear. But sometimes I just can't.
