Yeah I get worked up when the overly triggered get in a tizzy over books. I keep wanting to yell "IT'S FICTION. It's not REAL!!" Lord if you don't like something and I know this is crazy but....don't read it lol. Just because something isn't your cup of tea doesn't mean it's not someone else's favorite trope. I do get mad because I think it's not fair when people one star books, sometimes before they even come out, just because they don't like the premise. I don't read YA because I don't want to leave a bunch of reviews saying I wanted to stab out my eyes by page 34, so I steer very very clear. 🤣🤣

I cannot tell you how ENRAGED I get when reviewers infer or call others who read/write angsty/cheaty tropes morally corrupt because they want to read/write those tropes…all because those reviewers are “offended” by those tropes with NO OTHER REASONING. Dude, I’m “offended” you get to leave reviews…but you still get to, cuz Free Speech. *dropping mike, getting off soap box*

Or I get tired of hearing you condone the behavior if you like the trope. I read dark romance I don't condone murdering people in real life (like in all the mafia romances where the H just kills all the time because he's such a badass.) or I like alien smut, usually the hs are abducted and sold as slaves, I don't condone slavery or sex trafficking FFS!! So stupid. I had to put in my profile since I had people yelling at me because I didn't list trigger warnings and such in my reviews, that I don't really get triggered by anything (except bad writing lol) and so I don't always think about what would trigger others, so sorry 🤷🏼‍♀️. But you're not wrong people like that, don't even realize how conceited it is to believe that your likes and way of thinking are the only ones allowed. One of my GR friends loves the taboo/incest books, I don't believe she agrees with it in real life, I think she likes the angst of what the characters and side characters go through, if the pearl clutchers can't handle a cheating trope they'd probably be apoplectic at an incest or non-con trope. 😵‍💫🤣🤣
