Tom Vanstone The Skyes-Picot agreement ruined the Middle East. It divided the land in two between the French and the British following WW1 and implemented national borders which previously did not exist, grouping together many coexisting tribes with different religious beliefs. This has led to severe infighting within the region that is unlikely to stop soon

Tom Vanstone The Middle East borders may be reshaped in the future to create nations for religious peoples such as Kurdistan or Palestine or Israel, it may also change the shape of countries like Iraq and Syria
