This is SUCH a THICK book. It is difficult reading. There are some (a few) interesting turns of phrase and a lengthy monologue that I enjoyed and thought might make a good audition piece for theatre but mostly it is thick. And that is both in the length of the book (945 pages with small font, not a lot of margin or leading, and in trade paperback format) and the boring complexity of the (over) writing.
