Upto chapter 2: initially it comes across obvs it’s based in the 1700’s Bess is from a poor working class family & I feel for her she a young woman and it seems she’s gone through some really tough times which have harden her. I’ve got a lot to read but it seems where going to hear more about Clara and the background.
