Adel what do you look for in a book?

I focus on the story, the author's perspective, and delivery.

It is difficult for me to suggest books everyone should read, as each person's opinions on this topic vary widely. However, here are a few of my favorite books, listed in no particular order.

M.T. Vasudevan Nair's Randamoozham
Shivaji Sawant's Karnan (Original title in Marathi: Mrutyunjay )
V.S. Khandekar's Yayati
Tarashankar Bandyopadhyay's Arogya Nikethanam (Original Bengali title: Arogya Niketan)
R.K. Narayan's The Guide
Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist
Rohinton Mistry's Such a Long Journey, A Fine Balance, and Family Matters,
Khaled Hosseini's The Kite Runner, and A Thousand Splendid Suns
Jhumpa Lahiri's The Namesake
N. Mohanan's Orikkal
K.R. Meera's Aarachar
Kovilan's Thattakam
S.K. Pottekkatt's Oru Desathinte Katha
Pearl S. Buck's ‎The Good Earth

These are the books that immediately come to mind. I may have missed many others.
