It's the getting down to it that's the problem. We all have fantastic imaginations and the need to tell stories but it is hard to get through the sticky patches. Set deadlines (though my favourite quote comes from Douglas Adams, 'I love deadlines. I love the whooshing sound as they pass by...') - it helps if someone needs to see it by a certain time - harder if you are self-publishing. Turn off Twitter etc! (So hard...) But keep at it!

I'm currently working on a memoir - the hardest thing I've ever done - it is the story of a little girl growing up in the bush of Africa. (My publisher thinks I'm working on another acting book so Shhh:)
