Everything! I love how I retain things from conversations, books or television that I then use in my book. My inspiration comes from all these stories. I lose myself for hours when I'm writing but there is nothing better than finishing a chapter or nailing an ending.

Read! Read! Read! I'd also recommend a creative writing course. Setting your novel out correctly from the beginning is essential. I didn't know too much about character Point of View, and my first book had a lot of head hopping which had to be corrected.
