I can't wait to read the book. I'm an English Bulldog fan,myself. I just had to have mine(R.I.P. Wrinkles) put to sleep a little over a year ago,he was almost 12,& I miss him terribly still
Hunter Murphy Oh no! Bless you. Poor Wrinkles. I love that name. My real life Goose is nearly 12 now, and he's having a hard time walking. I'm worried about him. He's been my muse. They just love people, and they're such comedians. Goose is the life of the party. I'm memorializing him in this mystery series, because he's been such a good dog. I'm grateful to have a soon-to-be reader like you, Catherine. Thanks. :)

Is Goose the name of your English Bulldog? Btw, I really want to get a copy of your book because I like the summary and I want to start reading mystery books. :D
Hunter Murphy Hi Erven. Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Hunter Murphy I took the characters from a novel I wrote in 2003 and decided to put them in a mystery series.

How do you get inspired to write?
Hunter Murphy I scribble notes and thoughts in a notebook. One of my heroes PG Wodehouse would sometimes write a 20,000-word plot outline. I love this idea. The preparation is as much fun as the actual writing. I also get inspired by my fellow scribes, and I love reading how other writers approach the process of writing.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Hunter Murphy I keep writing. My man William Butler Yeats said, "Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking." Also, Jack London talked about not waiting on inspiration but rather going "after it with a club."

Hunter Murphy I like the creative freedom and the blue jeans wardrobe.

Hunter Murphy No matter how long it takes, find your voice by writing stories.

Hunter Murphy I'm currently working on the next in my mystery series featuring the feisty Alabama senior citizen Imogene, her hypochondriac son, his impulsive partner, and their dashing English bulldog Goose.
