Hi Liz and thanks very much for your question. I’m so glad you enjoyed the Tara Thorpe books. I’m afraid I haven’t got any more planned at the moment, but I did enjoy writing them (though I love creating the Eve Mallow mysteries too!) I think the two series are essentially different sub-genres and Eve fans tend to say it's those familiar elements you mention that keep them coming back. For my own part, I really love both sorts of story, and totally see your point of view and theirs. I’d love to write both at once but time is an issue! At the moment I’m contracted to write more Eves as the series is going well. However, I’m hoping to writing another police series set in a town at some point. I will post about it on my blog when there’s more news on that. Take care and all the best.

Hi Tineke, thanks so much for your question! I'm delighted that you've enjoyed the books so far. I'm currently writing a new series featuring obituary writer, Eve Mallow, but I might go back to Tara one day. I really enjoyed writing about her and Blake. As such, I wanted to tie up the main story lines that run through the first four books, but also to leave myself the option of giving them another mystery!

(view spoiler)[Great question! I think it would have to be Ruth Galloway and Harry Nelson in Elly Griffiths’s crime series. Their relationship is tantalising because they can’t be together properly – read the books and you’ll see why! Beyond that interesting dynamic, they’re simply two of the most perfectly drawn characters I’ve ever come across. (hide spoiler)]
