Roy Miller Being able to relate to other people, even if you don't know them, and have them find a sense of peace or understanding in their feelings through your words. Sometimes people have a hard time verbalizing what's going on with them, and if they can read someone else's words, it can help them get their own out.
Roy Miller I had been writing vignette pieces periodically to sort of help me visually my thoughts easier, and some of my friends told me that I should collect them into one place.
Roy Miller I like going around the city and taking pictures. People watching is one of my favorite things, but you gotta kinda be discreet so no one thinks you're a creeper. I just like to watch the way people interact, it's the best way to understand each other and feel more connected. Those situations help me churn out some of the feels.
Roy Miller Do it. Instead of thinking about it or wondering if you can, get it done. A lot of writers fail a few times before they get where they want to be, so don't be afraid.
Roy Miller I usually watch movies or read something new. I'll go through my list of rated films that I've given 4.5/5 and rewatch them since I know that they have good substance and I'll take notes sometimes.
