James Hahn If by "mystery" you mean a mystery of the rosary, it would be the Wedding at Cana. My favorite scripture is John 2:5 - "His mother said to the servants, 'do whatever he tells you.'" I've tried to spend my life "doing" whatever He tells me. I'm sure it would make a great plot...

If by "mystery" you mean something that is inexplicable, it would be the "disappearing cabin" that I and at least 3 others have seen in the woods in Hocking County. We've all been walking through the woods and seen this rustic cabin on the next hill. We've all walked toward it only to find it's not there...
James Hahn My family laughs at me because of the way I write and I do it this way specifically to avoid writers block. My office overlooks 10 acres of our property. I can watch deer on the hill and chickens around our garden. I watch the seasons change, the hawks looking for prey, and rabbits dashing in and out of the weeds. However, when I write, all of this would be a distraction for me. So, I sit down at my computer, pull my cap/toboggan over my head so I can't see and just type away. The boys will occasionally walk in on me like this to ask me a question. If I don't stop when they come in, they know to just wait because I won't stop until I finish my thought.
James Hahn For me the best thing is the ability to help other people. Some of my writing is entertaining but it's all on my blog. The books I publish are meant to help others in some way grow closer to God. I hope that when I enter eternity I'm dragging a bunch of folks with me through my writings.
James Hahn Write. I know everyone says it and that's because it is true. Whether you blog, or type or use crayon, you have to do it every day. Just keep doing it, pitch the junk and filter through to that which really inspires you.
James Hahn I'm currently working on rosary meditations that focus on suffering. It's a universal human experience. I think that a lot of comfort and encouragement could be found in the rosary focusing on suffering in each mystery.
James Hahn Typically I get inspired to write through prayer and walking. I generally pray the rosary while walking around the hills and woods on our farm. I carry my iphone with a recording app to dictate meditations. The exercise and fresh air give me energy and focus.
James Hahn My most recent book was inspired by the many people who ask me how I come up with my meditations. I decided to attempt formalize the process and present it so others could repeat and have a similar results. It turned out better than I expected.
