Still figuring that one out. Some authors I know force themselves to write through their block --just forcing it out. And often to toss out much of what they'd written as rubbish. I just leave the material for a day or two. I never write in order, and since I use Scrivener, it's never an issue to write ahead or behind. If I'm really good and damn well stuck, often I'll just go back to my plotting and fill in the blanks, or gaps. Write small scenes I'll build upon later. In the end, it's all still active writing towards the book.

I love spies. Love them. I wanted to write a thriller that offered something different in its main character but also made the setting the story took place as much an integral character in the book. The country of Egypt with its rich history and its deeply rooted social conflicts, made that incredible easy.

I'm currently writing the sequel to "The Last Enemy." It's tentatively titled "The Red Wall." It'll be complete soon and fingers crossed out this year. I have a paranormal that's also complete but needs some editing before it's submitted to my publisher.

Write what you love. If you love it, you'll write it really well. You gut will settle for nothing less than writing it really well.

I'd say that it's being able to give voice, to give reality to the ideas in my head. Then being able to hold that tangibly in my hands and read it after it's been published-- that's really an incredible thing. It is certainly one I don't take for granted.
