Michael J. Clark Tommy Bosco is based on a very good friend of mine who did work as a cross-border smuggler. He did time, saw everything near and dear to him auctioned off as proceeds of crime. I first met him while working on a charity car build project in 2006. (A sweet 1940 Chevy street rod, built from scratch.) You might get to meet him someday!
Michael J. Clark I've dealt with numerous deadlines over the years through my work in radio, TV, and print. Imposing my own deadlines tends to help. Besides, there's nothing worse than saying you're working on a book without mentioning the new page count, or that its finally done. I have a wall in our kitchen with blackboard paint that gets an updated page count each day. If its in your face everyday, you tend to want to deal with it.
Michael J. Clark Self-imposed deadlines. (And I've already watched the second season of 'Stranger Things", so I don't need TV for awhile.)
Michael J. Clark Working title is 'Mahoney's Camaro', set in Winnipeg circa 1985. It's about an apparent suicide involving a '67 Camaro in the Red River. (That's all I can spill for now.)
Michael J. Clark Write what you know. When that fails, paint with the broadest strokes of BS that you can muster. Just remember to believe your BS with all your heart.
Michael J. Clark Wearing the comfiest of pants.
