Two things. First, there’s a perception held by many that marriage equals commitment. Just as many, however, would debate that. Secondly, my fascination with how differently men and women define the term “committed relationship”. These things together, I felt, would make great subject matter for a novel.

First, being able to entertain readers by providing subject matter that resonates with them, or someone they may know. Secondly, having a talent for something that only a small percentage of the universe has.

I don't forced myself to produce copy. Instead, I'll step away, move on to something else and try again at a later point. The wee hours of the morning (2am-5am) are most productive for me in terms of clarity and thought. There are few distractions during that time.
