The initial inspiration for this book, 'Read My Song, Read My Heart, Read My Soul' started with my quest to find the three songs which I wanted to be played at my funeral. I am not sure why this was so important for me. I had the sense that maybe I hadn’t expressed myself fully and these songs would be my final chance to express who I was!
From this quest to find my funeral songs I finally grasped that it was probably time to start expressing myself fully right now. Why the reticence? What was I so afraid of? Why was I hiding my light? I came to understand that if these songs help to express me then maybe it is the same for other people. Maybe favorite songs fully express hidden messages for all of us about ourselves.
