Sean Michael Welch What happened to Samantha?

I'm not getting any deeper into that because I'm still working on the screenplay for this one.
Sean Michael Welch I was actually making an attempt to write something for a broader audience. When I considered what it was people were reading, what popped into my head was zombies, vampires, aliens, and fictionalized accounts of historical figures. So I just threw them all together to see what would come of it. There wasn't any attempt to ape anything out there, because when it comes down to it, no matter what elements I put into play, it will always become something that I enjoy first and foremost. It's not even a conscious attempt to be different, it's just how it all comes out of me.
Sean Michael Welch I sit at my computer and get to work. If we're talking about something new, then it could be anything, from some random idea that pops into my head, to something I jotted down in a notebook long ago, to reading and watching films that engage me. If you're open to it, then everything can become the spark of an idea.
Sean Michael Welch I am working on getting Book Two of 1897: ALIENS! VAMPIRES! ZOMBIES! ready for publication. I'm also doing preliminary work on the rest of the series, along with other projects including plays, short stories, and a webseries.
Sean Michael Welch Get to the end. Finish what you start. Even if you feel it's flawed, don't stop until you find the end. You can change it however you see fit when it's over, but what will hinder you most is not being to suggest to yourself that at least you saw it through to the end.
Sean Michael Welch Being able to immerse myself in any world I choose to create, knowing that I am in control of all things. And I don't think of it as work. It's too enjoyable to consider it being work.
Sean Michael Welch I don't think I've experienced writer's block since 2001. At this point, I work on so many things that it never seems to be a problem for me. If I'm having problems with one thing, then I just work on something else until I can come back to it in my own time.
