There's a house in my neighborhood that has been empty for over twenty years, but its a mystery to me and my neighbors. The curtains are drawn in the front room. There's a large section of smudge in the center of that picture window as if someone spent hours looking out. I might enjoy writing a murder mystery on this real life situation. Would you read It?

Hi Shawn.....no poetry in my background, but the shorter the message, the more challenging the writing. I admire those who write greeting cards. Thanks for visiting! Marisa

Hi Cintia! Thank you for your questions. It took me a number of years to get published. For me in the early years, I was writing for the joy of it, not to become famous or make money. If you can find that first, it will serve you well. Getting published does take some luck as well as talent. Getting involved with a local RWA Chapter will support you in so many ways as did me. You can look for one on line or find a critique partner who can help you with your journey. Good luck and feel free to check in any time.

I live in Ohio, and we have one of the largest and most authentic Renaissance Festivals in the country. After I took a step back in time one autumn afternoon about three years ago, I was inspired by the jousting reenactments. Danger, romance, chivalry, comedy, it was all there and I wanted to write a story inside that world.
