Persevere, find your trigger and do not listen to negative advice. Yes, there are a lot of obscure writers out there, and an awful lot of books that will never really take off (mine is probably in that category), but it doesn't mean you should just give up on the idea.

I have three different books going round in my head at the moment, but finding the time to write is challenging, to say the least. My priority right now is to translate my book into French, so my family and friends can read it. Also, it would allow me to promote my book into an entirely different market.

I have been writing a family blog since I was 14. I particularly wanted to record funny moments and anecdotes mostly for posterity, but then I started sending it round and my family and friends loved it so much they pushed me to write some more.
