Since, my wife, Annie and I were Kurt Vonnegut's closest friends and I was Kurt's Attorney, Agent, Manager, Drinking Buddy and knew more about him than anyone in the world, it seemed appropriate for me to write something about Kurt. I knew a biography would be impossible to write for a lot of reasons, and those that tried failed, I decided that I would tell some tales of our relationship with Kurt, that only Annie and I know about and the reader would learn more about Kurt from these incidents. They would learn how Kurt reacted to different happenings in his life. They would learn about his family. I love the title "I Hated To Do It - Stores of a Life". You will have to read the book to learn where the title comes from, it's really a fascinating incident. The book is an ebook and is available. Don Farber
