For me, it is the opportunity to share a story. I have so many percolating in my head, its is fantastic to get them our there and read. I also love the feedback.

I am currently 10 chapters in on a YA paranormal set in modern day Paris. MC is American and she is faced with unraveling a murder of a ghost who is haunting her throughout the city of love, but the further she gets into the mystery the closer she becomes to becoming a victim herself. I am really excited about it!

As a teen, I was raped and though I thought I had dealt with the trauma cased by it, I began experiencing nightmares almost 15 years after it had happened. I turned to journal-ling as therapy and then the story developed into what it is today in the hopes I can help someone else to overcome their personal demons. Though, if you do decide to read Honorable Disgrace, you may want to keep the Kleenex's close, so I've been told.

The best thing to do if you want to be a writer is to carve out time to write. Whether it is as simple as 500 words a day, or 500 per week, you will still be making progress, developing a habit, and most likely once you get sat down to write, you'll end up doing more than your daily goal. The only other advice to this is to read, read, read. But make sure to write!
